Saturday Netball is a popular sport at Sydney Girls High School.
We play in the Northern Suburbs Netball Competition on Saturdays at Bicentennial Reserve, Small Street, Willoughby
Junior girls (12 – 15 year olds) play in the morning, (8am - 2pm) and senior girls in the afternoon (1pm - 5pm).
The season begins last week of Term 1 and games continue through Terms 2 and 3. See the Northern Suburbs Netball website weekly under "Fixtures" for your team's weekly games, bye's and court number.
NSNA’s website is www.northsuburbs.netball.asn.au and is regularly updated with competition results.
Saturday netball players receive professional coaching during school
When needed, grading days are held early in the year to decide the composition of teams. Teams are allocated grades by NSNA.
Although we play as Sydney Girls High School teams, there will not usually be a teacher present at games. Parents should therefore understand that the participation of their daughters in the competition is their own responsibility.
All junior teams are allocated a parent manager, and senior girls take responsibility for mentoring junior teams.
We are required to provide umpires for each of our games. Umpires must be trained and accredited. Northern Suburbs Netball Association runs training sessions early in the season for girls who are interested in umpiring
