Courses offered

The subjects taught in the junior school are:
. mandatory Australian Geography and Australian History
. elective Commerce, Geography and History.

The subjects taught in the senior school are Economics, Geography, Ancient History, Modern History, History Extension and Legal Studies. 

Resources

Senior students are issued up-to-date textbooks. Class sets of texts are used in the Junior school.  Other resources include videos, newspapers, periodicals and electronically-stored information such as the articles from The Sydney Morning Herald, on-demand video/DVD access, and access to the Internet.

Special Features

Mock Trials, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Water Polo are organised by teachers within the faculty . Students enter a variety of competitions including the Australian Geography Competition, Asia-Wise Competition, NSW History Competition, Australian Economics Competition, and the Financial Literacy Competition.  Students in Year 10 are also able to compete in the Les Gordon History Debating Competition.  Year 7 Geography have an excursion to the Blue Mountains.  Year 10 undertake a combined History and Geography excursion to Pyrmont and Cockatoo Island.  Excursions occur for other groups as opportunities arise.
